Value of the World's Ecosystem Services and Natural Capital: Toward a Dynamic, Integrated Approach

(1) Publish a theoretical manuscript (or group of manuscripts) that articulates our interdisciplinary approach to global ecosystem service valuation (2) Create a database that brings relevant social, economic, and ecological data together in a fully relational format (3) Develop an integrated, dynamic model of ecological and economic systems to more comprehensively evaluate ecosystem services and their value. (4) Develop a global Input-Output model for assessing the structural interdependencies between ecosystem services and the economy and for possible use in pricing ecosystem services (5) Develop the ability to create maps of ecosystem services and their values for the entire globe and for any arbitrary subarea.
